OWN IT SUMMIT

OWN IT Penn is a female and non-binary empowerment, on-campus organization that aims to bridge the gap between non-male leaders and the students who admire them. We raise awareness of the hurdles gender poses in the workplace by hosting a diverse and accessible summit.

The theme for this year’s summit is RESILIENCE. This year’s summit will include women from a diverse array of fields including academia, philanthropy, and media. Confirmed speakers include Helen Gym, a democratic mayoral candidate; Miriam Haart, from the Netflix series My Unorthodox Life; Kathleen Buhle, an American writer and non-profit executive; Jami McKeon, Chair of Morgan Lewis; and Olena Lysenko, a Ukrainian documentary filmmaker.
